In the spring of 2013, the music assembly program held it's very first assembly. The basic premise of the program is the following: 1. Allow kids to hear music in a live setting. Some for the very first time. 2. Be exposed to new genres and styles of music. 3. Hear the musical journey of the artist firsthand. 4. Develop a further appreciation for the arts. The music assembly program is currently hosted at four middle schools in Vancouver, Washington. The assembly is for the whole school, not just those involved in music classes. At the end of the 2019 school year, the program will have reached more than 6,000 kids!
